Heritage
We can define this as a legacy of objects and intangibles of our Orders from predecessors maintained in the present and preserved for future generations of Masons and their families and the community. A key feature of the Society is preserving our history and heritage. We receive donations and earn finance to achieve it. The Society can do that with objects we have within our custody, but we are also interested in Masonic objects elsewhere in NZ. We are interested in, what is where, who owns it, what condition it is in, for the preservation of it, for the future. We are also interested in maintaining a list of properties, confidential to the owners and offering advice identifying objects and their preservation where asked. This is about saving and preserving our heritage.
